District-Wide School Volunteer Program PALS - (Partners Advocating Learning and Support) The PALS Volunteer Program is a network of persons who work as volunteers in our schools to offer special skills to enrich a student's educational experiences or lend an extra hand to teachers and school staff. The district volunteer coordinator supervises, organize, recruit and assign volunteers. PALS volunteers are often parents but include grandparents, retirees and concerned citizens who want to enhance education in the community.
Mission To involve parents, teachers, and the community in cooperative ventures to expand and enhance learning experiences and meet the needs of individual students.
Volunteer Program Goals · Enrich student's learning opportunities · Provide help for individual students · Provide opportunities for meaningful service · Relieve teachers of some non-instructional tasks · Establish a school and community partnership for quality education · Enhance all aspects of the educational process
