Fellow Stakeholders:

As Superintendent of Hampton School District Two, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the official website of Hampton County School District Two. The main goal of Hampton County School District Two is to provide every student with a superior education. This is accomplished by continually striving to research, develop, and implement strategies that will enable each student to achieve grade level proficiency and beyond. The overarching focus of our District is to prepare our students to be competitive in a global market.

As we embark on the 2009-2010 school year, we must all realize that we have been afforded a wonderful opportunity to play a significant role in the lives of the students in our District. To that end, I am asking all stakeholders to join me in making sure that our District continues to provide an excellent education for all students. The success of our students must be the impetus behind everything we do. Furthermore, student success must always be our main priority. Research shows that successful schools have a high percentage of parent involvement. Therefore, I encourage all parents to take an active role in their child’s education by consistently communicating with their child’s teacher(s), participating in various school activities, and actively working with their child each day. Involvement in your child’s school ensures the development of a significant relationship between home and school. Believe it or not, the relationship between home and school is extremely important to student success.

Finally, we are proud of our past accomplishments and are encouraged by our prospects for continued growth and success. As we carry out the work of providing an education that will enable our students to compete globally, I am confident that we will see even more progress in our students’ academic achievement. Re: Notification of Asbestos Inspections

In compliance with the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard Emergancy Response Act (AHERA), in the fall of 1998 we performed inspections of each of our schools builds for Asbestos Containing Building Materials (ACBM).
